A Message From Our Principal

June 21, 2021

Dear Esperanza Families,

We hope you are well and safe.

Together we endured a school year like no other--a year in which the pandemic forced us to be apart to be safe. And yet, as we do here at Esperanza, we managed to remain united as a school community. We persevered!

This summer we offer Summer School from June 22 to July 23 both in person and online. All students also may take an enrichment course to study a subject they want to learn more about. Some of our students also are attending Extended School Year at Union Ave. Elementary.

Summer is a terrific opportunity for students to build their reading skills by reading independently. Students, read, read, read! The public libraries now are open, too. Go here for more information:

Summer also is a great time to get outside and explore the natural world. We hope our students and their families get to know the nature around us--the plants, birds, insects and animals who share Los Angeles with us.

Happy summer!
